Just last week, Seneca Gaming Corporation announced that it would promote two of its long-term employees at two casinos to general managers. The appointees in question are Joanne Israel and Mark Fazy, who will now manage the company’s Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, respectively.
Seneca Gaming Corporation is a wholly owned tribal charter corporation of Indian Seneca Nation, which operates the Nation Class 3 Casino in Western New York. 슬롯머신 The three properties are Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo, and Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca.
Kevin Nephew, president and CEO of the gaming company, said the company is proud to have two experts as leaders of Seneca Niagara and Seneca Buffalo Creek properties. The nephew said the two have proven to be effective and respected leaders in the company’s community, which shares a similar focus on delivering success and excellent customer service.
Mr. Israel joined a tribal company in 2011 after five years in public accounting. In 2018, she was appointed assistant manager of Seneca Niagara, helping manage the $40 million “Seneca Arrival Experience” project. She also played an important role in the safe and effective closure of casinos in unprecedented circumstances.
Mr. Papaji also joined the game leader in 2011, and has been an assistant manager at Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino since 2018. Prior to that, he served as vice president of resort operations at Seneca Niagara, leading the $7 million renovation of the penthouse suite of accommodations. He is also vice president of resort operations at Seneca Allegany Resorts & Casinos.
This year, Seneca Gaming Corporation celebrates key milestones for both casinos. A tribe called Seneca Niagara opened to the public 20 years ago after completing a US$100 million variant of the former Niagara Falls Convention & Civic Center. Meanwhile, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino opened 15 years ago in July 2007.
Meanwhile, India’s Seneca Nation hopes to reach an agreement with Empire State on a new gaming contract. The current contract expires next year. Matthew Pagels, chairman of the Indian tribe, wants a fair deal, but admits he will never forgive Gov. Cathy Hochul’s decision to freeze the tribe’s account as a way of forcing the Indian tribe to pay off its gaming debt.
Over the years, the company’s three Western New York gaming facilities have been recognized for premium services on several occasions. Three properties in 2021 earned an impressive 28 rewards in Strictly Slot magazine’s ‘best slot’ honor. Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino received 12 rewards, Seneca Niagara received 10 and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino received 6.
