Son Heung-min is the 3rd best striker in the EPL! EPL star FW’s assessment, No. 1 is not Holland Then who?

Crouch picked five of the best strikers in the EPL, drawing attention. Crouch revealed the names of the five strikers by appearing on a podcast with midfielder Steve Sidwell who played for Reading, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. He expanded his scope to include front-line strikers and wingers. These five strikers show tremendous influence in EPL’s offense.

Tottenham’s ace and captain Son Heung-min ranked third this season. Watchers say Son is in his second heyday this season. Son has 14 goals and eight assists as he moves back and forth between one-top and winger this season. He is clearly playing the role of Tottenham ace. He is No. 1 in both scoring and assisting. He has absolute trust from Coach Enze Postecoglou.

Following Son Heung-min, Brentford’s Ivan Toney ranked fourth and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins ranked fifth.

Then, who are the first and second runners ahead of Son? Many would expect that Manchester City’s monster striker Erling Holland will rank No. 1 this season. Holland has scored 18 goals and has never ranked atop in scoring. He has five assists. Analysts say that he is the world’s best striker.

However, Crouch had a different opinion. In Crouch’s eyes, Holland was not the best striker in the EPL. It was Mohamed Salah of Liverpool. Salah has scored 15 goals and nine assists this season. He is one of the best players in the league, but he has shown great performance without disagreement.

In response to the list, the U.K.’s Metro reported, “Crauch and Sidwell rounded up the top five existing EPL strikers, and Salah overtook Holland to rank No. 1. Tottenham superstar Son Heung-min came in third.”

“Strikers like Marcus Rashford, Alexander Isaac, and Dawi Nunez did not make the list. Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden were also not included because of Salah.”
