The aristocratic brand has made clear to GGRA that it has not supplied electronic game consoles in the Russian athletics sector “for many years” and has not been in any “gaming business” in Russia. However, the company said it has suspended mobile gaming in that market “because it is currently impossible to operate in Russia.”
Natalie Toohey, chief corporate officer at Arbistat Leasure Ltd, told GGRAsia on Wednesday that the company had suspended operations in Russia even before a new generation of casino resorts opened in the country.
These include a casino resort in the integrated entertainment zone of Primorsky Krai near Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East, the first of which was a Hong Kong-listed Tigred Crystal Resort backed by Summit Ascent Holdings.
Mr. Toohey said, “We never specifically sold products to the casinos you mentioned. We left Russia before those areas were regulated.”
She added: “We don’t have any gaming business employees in the Russian market and we don’t have any kind of gaming business.”
Within the Arbistat group, the gaming sector is related to land casinos and support products.
In an earlier filing to the Australian Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the company provided an update on its operations in the region, referring to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, operating in Russia is not currently viable and Arbistat has confirmed that it will suspend our mobile gaming operations in Russia,” said Arbistat Leasure
The group added: “Russia has historically contributed about 3% of its annual Pixel United bookings.”
Pixel United, formerly known as Arbistat Digital, is the umbrella of the group’s social game brands Product Madness, Plarium and Big Fish Games.
Arabistat said in a stock exchange announcement that around 1,000 people worked normally at its unit within Ukraine’s Pixel United.
“To date, Arabistat has supported more than two-thirds of its Ukraine-based employees and families to voluntarily move to safer locations internationally or within the country,” the company said.
“The well-being and safety of our people remains our top priority, and the peerage’s Pixel United team continues to lead a comprehensive response,” it said in a statement. It added that the redeployed staff were working remotely “with the support of existing Pixel United studios across Europe.”
The aristocrat said: “A new office will soon open in Wrocław, Poland, adding to our existing business in Poland, and supporting us to get more talent over time.”
“With respect to our Russia-based employees, we are exploring strategic options and we will continue to do what we can to support them,” the statement also said. 안전 슬롯사이트
The aristocrat said it did not expect a “significant impact on imports” from the military crisis. “Given the liquidity situation, we will continue to closely monitor the impact and provide an update on the aristocrat’s half-year financial results for May,” the group added.
