4 innings, no hit, 5 innings, no run

Kim Jin-wook started the Futures League game against the NC Dinos in Changwon and had four hits, no four outs and five strikeouts in five innings.

In the first game of the double header against the KT Wiz on the 9th, he has no runs in two consecutive games following no hits, one walk and no runs in four innings.

Kim Jin-wook, who stole the lead Han Seok-hyun from 2B2S in the bottom of the first inning and struck out the sixth pitch, allowed No. 2 Bae Sang-ho to hit right, but handled No. 3 Choi Bo-sung with a double play in front of the third baseman and easily passed the first inning.

With So Han-bin’s two-run shot leading 2-0, Kim Jin-wook took the mound in the bottom of the second inning and gained even more strength. He struck out No. 4 Kim Bum-joon, No. 5 Park Hang-yeol, and No. 6 Han Jae-hwan, who swung and missed.

At the end of the third inning with a 3-0 lead, Park In-woo allowed an infield hit to the second baseman after two outs, but he caught Han Seok-hyun with a fly to center field on the first pitch and finished without a crisis.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the first crisis struck out. Kim Jin-wook, who allowed Choi Bo-seong a heavy hit, struck out Kim Bum-joon with three pitches, but was hit to the left by Park Hang-yeol. He sent a runner to the scoring position for the first time with two outs and runners on the first and second bases. However, he remained calm. He caught the ball that No. 6 Han Jae-hwan hit on his fourth pitch and threw it to the first base, and took three outs.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, hitters could have gotten on base due to an error, but he calmly continued pitching without allowing a point. After one out, he made a catch error, in which the third baseman failed to properly catch Shin Yong-seok’s ball. However, Kim Jin-wook handled Park In-woo with a fly to the right field and Han Seok-hyun with a ground ball to the third baseman, and ended the game scoreless until the fifth inning.

He pitched 81 pitches until the fifth inning. He was replaced by Lee In-bok in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 5-0 lead.

Kim Jin-wook prepared as a bullpen pitcher this season, but changed his position to a starter due to his jagged control during the exhibition game. When a bullpen pitcher who threw only one inning took the mound, the coaching staff judged that the starter was better because it could have a bad effect on the team.

He is constantly starting in the Futures League. In the game against Samsung on April 5, his first start, he allowed eight hits, two walks, one strikeout and seven runs in four innings, but in the game against Doosan on April 11, he allowed three hits, two walks and six strikeouts in five innings, and in the game against KT on April 18, he allowed six hits, four walks, one strikeout and three runs in four ⅓, but in the game against KT on April 9, he pitched four innings, no hit, one walk, two strikeouts and no run, and in the game against KT, he pitched in a stable manner, allowing no run in five innings.
